The bride wore, a frock of ivory embroidered crepe de Chine, and her embroidered tulle veil was arranged over a wreath of orange blossoms. A bouquet of while asters and roses, tied with white satin ribbon, was carried. There was one maid in attendance. Miss May Brennan (the bride's sister), who wore a frock of white chiffon voile, inserted with lace, and a broad-leafed Leghorn hat, sashed with pink ribbon and set with pink roses. She carried a bouquet of pink asters and dahlias tied with pink ribbons. Mr. Francis McErlean attended his brother as best man. After the ceremony the wedding party was entertained at the residence of Mrs. T. Pobar, at Willowburn, and on leaving later for Brisbane Mrs. McErlean wore a costume of navy blue crepe de Cline and a white hat. "

    Yesterday afternoon, while unloading six logs of timber off his waggon at Brady's saw mill, Merritt's Creek, John Brennan, aged 36 years, was accidentally killed. He leaves a widow and four children. It appears that after unhitchlng his load two logs rolled off, and he then went to the other side of the waggon to give the remaining logs a start, when the top one rolled off that side on to him, catching him on the back of the head and neck, felling him to the ground and killing him instantaneously. He was a native of the district, his family living at Ravensbourne. He was insured under the Workers' Compensation Acts The police are making the usual inquiries, and Dr. Overeod his left to hold a post-mortenm examination. "
