• Auguste Magdalene Marie (Gussie) Ilguth immigrated on 4 June 1901 to Queensland with Magdalene Elizabeth Roze and Dorothea Ullrich. Magdalena 29, travelled with her mother Dorothea, 63 and two children Auguste aged 11 and Karl A, aged 8 on the Jumna. Maria D M aged 63,was a nurse. They were listed under the Remittence section and most likely travelled to Australia to be with Dorothea's son Henry Rose/Roze/Rotze.
  
• At the age of 21 years, 2 months and 6 days, Auguste Magdalene Marie (Gussie) Ilguth married Friedrick (Frederick) Anton Rohde, son of Herman Rohde and Louise Mathilda Beger, on 4 May 1910 in Lutheran Church, Toowoomba, Queensland. After their marriage they lived for nine months at Delilah Station near Charleville before moving to Quilpie where Friedrich was employed as a dam maker and where Friedrich began maltreating Auguste. He also took to spending all his time in pubs and gambling both his and her money. Auguste left Friedrich in 1912 and lived with her brother in Quilpie for a time before moving to Stanthorpe in 1915 where she became involved with a Greek. Three children were born from 1916 to 1924 when the father returned to his homeland leaving Auguste with the children. She was granted a decree nisi in August 1934.

• At the age of 45 years, 9 months and 14 days, Auguste Magdalene Marie (Gussie) Ilguth married Thomas Astbury, son of William Astbury and Mary Ann Benton, on 12 December 1934 in Brisbane, Queensland.
• Auguste Magdalene Marie (Gussie) Ilguth died on 9 January 1956 in Brisbane, Queensland, at age 66. She died at the home of her daughter in Spring Hill where she had been living for a number of years.
• Auguste was buried in Mt Thompson Memorial Gardens.
• On 21 May 1956,her husband, Thomas Astbury died in Queensland at age 72.
