He also ploughed up Ruthven-Street when it was first being formed. In later years deceased was well known for his skill amongst ailing stock, but latterly impaired health compelled a less active life, and a few weeks ago he became a patient at the General Hospital, where he passed peacefully away on Monday at about 5.30 p.m. His. wife predeceased him by twelve years. The living members of the family are James and John (Crow's, Nest), Joseph, Patrick, Mrs. W. H. Callaghan of this town, and Mrs. Edwards of Edwardston. The funeral is timed to leave the residence of his son-in-law Mr. W. H. Callaghan."
