It was explained that the latter, who were the elder children of the deceased, others being under age, were pressing for payment of their respective shares, and it was desired to pay them, and at the same time preserve the bulk of the property for the other beneficiaries. His Honour gave leave to mortgage certain of the property for not exceeding £200 for five years at 7 per cent, for the purpose of paying the claimants in question."

• Harriet Ann Thatcher was born on 11 January 1846 in Shrewsbury, Shropshire, England.
• She was baptized on 8 February 1846 in Chad, Shrewsbury, Shropshire, England.
• She was the daughter of Abraham Thatcher and Mary Davies.
• At the age of 21 years, 9 months and 24 days, Harriet Ann Thatcher married David John Jones on 2 December 1867 in Primitive Methodist Chapel, Shrewsbury. David died in early 1870 in Shrewsbury aged 30 years.
  
• Her marriage, at 24 years and 9 months, to Samuel Lawley was registered in the December 1870 Quarter in Shrewsbury Registration District. Samuel died in late 1871 in London aged 40 years.
  
• She immigrated to Brisbane on 23 August 1882. She was 34 years old and arrived on the Manora.
  
• At the age of 37 years, 2 months and 25 days, Harriet Ann Thatcher married John Barnes, son of Benjamin Prowse Barnes and Jane Badcock, on 3 May 1883 in Queensland. Reverend Thomas Thatcher

• Reverend Thomas Thatcher was born on 28 March 1844 in Shrewsbury, Shopshire, England.
• He was the son of Abraham Thatcher and Mary Davies.
• Thomas completed mission work in South Africa.
• In May 1878 Thomas moved from Ipswich to begin preaching in Brisbane.
  
• In 1880 was appointed to the Toowoomba Circuit of the Primitive Methodist Mission.
  
• On 10 November 1880 a fund raising event was held for the ensuing the newly built Perseverance Primitive Methodist Church, which cost £41, excluding gratuitous labour, was opened free of debt. Joseph Cossart acted as steward for the meeting which was chaired by Rev Thomas Thatcher, and attended by Mr Munro, Mr Littleton, Mr Mitchell, Mr Stone, and Mr Merritt. A special thanks went to William Gunter.

IT is with a feeling of the deepest regret (writes our Laidley correspondent) that I have to chronicle the death of Mr. Walter Thatcher, one of Laidley's most esteemed residents. Six weeks ago Mr. Thatcher took suddenly ill, his malady being enteric fever in a most malignant form. On Monday evening it was evident that he was sinking rapidly and shortly after mid-night he passeed quietly away. The funeral took place on Tuesday afternoon last and was the largest ever witnessed in Laidley."

• William Theaker's obituary read - He was born in Scobrian, Yorkshire, and came to Queensland in 1863. Upon his arrival in Ipswich, he engaged with the late Mr. George Challinor at Yamanto in the old "cotton days," with whom he stayed for about two years.
  He then purchased from the Crown the farm on which he resided up to the time of his death, the place in those days being known as the Warrill Creek Agricultural Reserve. The immediate cause of death was paralysis, combined with the effects of old age.
  The funeral, which took place on Monday last, was largely attended by neighbours and friends from the surrounding districts and from Ipswich..

• The Methodist Church in Crow's Nest erected memorial plaques to early Crow's Nest Pioneers on the Church building and fence. Will and Emma's names were amongst them along with those of their daughters Eliza and Margaret.

Augusta Emma Thiemann

• Augusta Emma Thiemann was born in 1884 in Queensland. She was the daughter of John Thiemann and Emma Louise Schultz.
  
• At the age of 23 years, Augusta Emma Thiemann married Carl Frederick Wilhelm Reinke, son of Carl (Charles) August Reinke and Emilie Charlotte Friedreke Kuhnemann, in 1907 in Queensland.
• Augusta Emma Thiemann and Carl Frederick Wilhelm Reinke appeared on the Electoral Roll between 1908 and 1916 living at Evergreen. Charles was a carpenter.
  
• Augusta Emma Thiemann died in 1975 in Brisbane, Queensland.

Alex Thies

Anne Thies

• Anne Thies was born in 1885 in Queensland.
• Anne Thies died in 1885 in Queensland.
• She was the daughter of Heinrich (Henry) Thies and Wilhelmina Dorothea Hauf.
