• Harriet Ann Thatcher was born on 11 January 1846 in Shrewsbury, Shropshire, England.
• She was baptized on 8 February 1846 in Chad, Shrewsbury, Shropshire, England.
• She was the daughter of Abraham Thatcher and Mary Davies.
• At the age of 21 years, 9 months and 24 days, Harriet Ann Thatcher married David John Jones on 2 December 1867 in Primitive Methodist Chapel, Shrewsbury. David died in early 1870 in Shrewsbury aged 30 years.
  
• Her marriage, at 24 years and 9 months, to Samuel Lawley was registered in the December 1870 Quarter in Shrewsbury Registration District. Samuel died in late 1871 in London aged 40 years.
  
• She immigrated to Brisbane on 23 August 1882. She was 34 years old and arrived on the Manora.
  
• At the age of 37 years, 2 months and 25 days, Harriet Ann Thatcher married John Barnes, son of Benjamin Prowse Barnes and Jane Badcock, on 3 May 1883 in Queensland. They were married at the residence of Richard Askin, North Street, Toowoomba. Harriet was the sister of the Rev Thatcher and Emma Thatcher, Richard Askin's wife.

Joseph Cossart acted as steward for the meeting which was chaired by Rev Thomas Thatcher, and attended by Mr Munro, Mr Littleton, Mr Mitchell, Mr Stone, and Mr Merritt. A special thanks went to William Gunter.

• On 31 July 1895 The Darling Downs Gazette reported: " THE.REV. MR. THATCHER. The many friends of this gentleman will regret to learn he is suffering from the effects of an accident he met with on Sunday night when returning from holding service at Cabarlah. It appears that his vehicle was upset by some means, and he was thrown out, receiving a scalp wound and other bruises. We learn learn is doing as well as can be expected."

Walter Thatcher

• Walter Thatcher's birth was registered in the Shrewsbury, Shropshire Registration District in the June 1859 Quarter.
• He was the son of Abraham Thatcher and Mary Davies.
• At the time of the 2 April 1871 census, Walter Thatcher was living in the household of Abraham Thatcher and Mary Davies in Shrewsbury, Shropshire. Abraham 53, a carpet maker born Rochdals, and Mary 54 born Salop, lived with their children William 24, a joiner and Primitive Methodist Minister; Emma 20, a dressmaker; Jane 13 and Walter 11. All the children were born in Salop.
  
  
• Walter Thatcher died on 3 December 1900 in Laidley, Queensland, at age 41. The Queensland Times reported: "DEATH OF MR. WALTER THATCHER. IT is with a feeling of the deepest regret (writes our Laidley correspondent) that I have to chronicle the death of Mr. Walter Thatcher, one of Laidley's most esteemed residents. Six weeks ago Mr. Thatcher took suddenly ill, his malady being enteric fever in a most malignant form. On Monday evening it was evident that he was sinking rapidly and shortly after mid-night he passeed quietly away. The funeral took place on Tuesday afternoon last and was the largest ever witnessed in Laidley."

William Thatcher

• William Thatcher was born in 1847 in Shropshire, England.

Annie Theaker

• Annie Theaker was born in 1851 in England.
• She was the daughter of William Theaker and Thomasin Freeman.
• Annie Theaker immigrated circa 1863 to Queensland with William Theaker and Jane Robinson. William and Jane Robinson, his second wife arrived in Queensland with his children Sarah, James, Mary, and Annie. They may have travelled on the same ship as Jane's brother James and his family.
  
• At the age of 23 years, Annie Theaker married Byron Walter Wells, son of William Wells and Mary Ann Coulton, on 1 July 1874 in Queensland.
• Annie Theaker died on 6 December 1931 in Queensland.
