She was born in Menhenib, Carnwall [sic], England, in 1843 and at five years of age came to Canada with her parents, the late Mr. and Mrs. James Hancock, of Mitchell. After spending two years at Darlington, the family moved to Fullarton, where in 1868 she married Robert Nichols and has since resided. She was a woman of much personal charm, quiet, home loving, a devout member of Trinity church, which she attended with great regularity as long as she was able to do so. The burial service was conducted by her rector Rev. W.H. Roberts on March 30th, and interment was made in Woodland cemetery.
