  • The following article appeared in The Courier Mail on 13 February 1930. "CROW'S NEST. Presentation.- At the Pinelands Hall on Friday night a representative gathering assembled to farewell Mr. and Mrs. J. H. Rogash. who are shortly leaving to take up dairying work in the Goomeri district. Music for the dancing was supplied by Mrs. A. Burgess, Misses Dascombe, Pukallus, and Trost, Messrs. C. C. Gossow, E. Trost. Smoothy, Mr. Bert Smoothy acted at M.C. During an interval presentations were made to Mr. and Mrs. Rogash. Messrs. Wm. Stark, O. Morice, and L. Dascombe (Shire Council representatives) Mr Jas Barnes (president of the Crows Nest A H and I Society) and Messrs Alan Brosnan and T H Patch all spoke in eulogistic terms regarding the guests or the evening Mr C Morgenstein in making the presentation of a wallet of notes, to Mr Rogash and a handsome handbag to Mrs Rogash expressed the general regret felt at their departure."

  • At the age of 20 years and 17 days, Lily Anne Williams married Edward Emmerson, son of John Emmerson and Eleanor Tyndale-Dunbar, on 2 August 1899 in Queensland.
  • Lily Anne Williams and Edward Emmerson appeared on the Electoral Roll in 1903 living at Anduramba. Edward worked as a timber getter. His parents were farming at Anduramba at the time.
  • In 1905 Edward with his brother Thomas erected a sawmill, known as Stonehouse, in Blackbutt. The name was later changed to Blackbutt sawmill. They hauled the steam engine purchased from the Ipswich Railway yards up the Blackbutt range with a horse team. In 1907 he returned to Crow's Nest, leaving Thomas to run the mill. His wife, Lily had suffered a stroke after the birth of their daughter Lily and needed to be closer to medical help. He established a planing mill in Crow's Nest beside his house. He ran this until 1936.
  • Lily Anne Williams and Edward Emmerson appeared on the Electoral Roll in 1913 living at Crow's Nest. He was a sawmiller.
  • In 1924 Edward built a powerhouse in Crow's Nest behind the sale yards using timber from the recently closed and dismantled Pechey sawmill.

Their three children came with them - Alfred aged 3, Mary 1 and an infant John. The baby may have been Thomas Jenkin Breacher who died on the voyage as there is no further record of a John Breacher.
  • On 10 April 1888,her husband, Thomas Breacher died in Queensland.
  • On 22 December 1894 an article appeared in The Rockhampton Morning Bulleton stating"MINING NOTES.The following application has been posted at the office of the Gold Warden. FRIDAY Mrs. Mary Breacher, Mount Morgan, applying for a goldfields homestead of one rood, situated at allotment 7, section 20, Pattison-Street, Mount Morgan."

  • The following article appeared in the The Courier Mail on 22 July 1942. "The death is announced of Mr. Owen Charles Williams, 70, of Plainby. He was born in Drayton, and selected land at Plainby in 1893. He was instrumental in having a State school built at Plainby, and was a member of the committee for 40 years and chairman for most of that time. He was superintendent of the Plainby Methodist Sunday School for 21 years, and a local preacher for 43 years. He was a member of the Crow's Nest A., H.and I. Society since its inception in 1902 was president for many years, and some years ago was elected patron. He also was a member of the Goombungee Haden A., H., and P. Society, and judged farm produce at many shows. From 1930 to 1939 he was a director of the Downs Co-operative Dairy Association. His wife died four years ago. He is survived by two sons — Messrs. T. C. and V. O. Williams (Plainby) — and two daughters— Mesdames J. Rogash (Goomeri) and D. Andrew (Crow’s Nest.)"
