  • Ernest William Hawes was the informant of the death of Carl August Heinrich Dorries on 4 June 1920 in cnr Greenwattle Street and Carrington Road, Toowoomba, Queensland. Carl died from Bronclitis and cardiac failure. He had been ill for a week and attended by Dr David Horn the previous day. His age was given as 92 years, 11 months and was a farmer, son of Christian Dorries, also a farmer, and Annie Frike. The informants were his son in law WE Hawes of Taylor Street, and daughter ML Smith of Greenwattle Street.

  • Hannah Hawkins and Richard Hoskin appeared on the census of 30 March 1851 in Pengelly, Cornwall. Richard, the family head, was shown as 33 years old, a quarry labourer, born Lanteglos, Cornwall. Living with him was his wife Hannah, 34, a dressmaker born St Teath, son Francis 10, a scholar; son Richard 8, a scholar; daughters Hannah 5 and Catherine aged 1. All of the children were born in Lanteglos.
