  • Between 1857 and 1864,her husband, Matthew Thomas Furze died. Grace remarried in 1865.

She is shown as the head of the household, married, aged 24, a wife of a Copper Miner, born St Paul living with her two children Jane Mary aged 6 born Sancreed, and John 4 born St Just. Matthew was not in the house at the time of the Census.

  • He was the son of William Warren and Catherine Jose.
  • At the age of 27 years, 2 months and 24 days, Henry Warren married Jane Maddern, daughter of John Maddern and Grace Dunn Gill, on 26 May 1833 in Cornwall. Married by Bans, both of this parish, in the presence of John MADDERN, and Richard Pentreath.
  • Henry Warren witnessed the marriage of Thomas Maddern and Priscilla Lower on 2 July 1837 in Paul Church, Cornwall. The marriage record shows that they were married by Banns. Thomas was a 21 year old gardener of Newlyn (Father John Maddern, a gardener). Priscilla was a 28 year old servant of Newlyn (Father John Lower, a rope maker). Witnesses were John Maddern and Henry Warren. John and Priscilla were in fact, cousins, their mothers Grace and Priscilla being sisters.

All the children were born in Newlyn.

  • Henry Warren died in September 1871 in Penzance at age 65. The burial record shows - Henry Warren of Newlyn aged 66 (Killed at Penzance Station. Buried by Coroner's order). Perhaps he was taking his produce to the railway station to be sold when he met with an accident.
