Mr. W. R. Rose appeared for the plaintiff and Mr. E. W. Cleary for the defendant, who pleaded not indebted, and paid the sum of £2/17/6 into court in full settlement of the claim. The claim arose out of the impending sale of plaintiff's farm at Murramurra to a Mr. Ambrose, who paid the defendant £50 deposit, and later declined to proceed with the sale. The defendant claimed the balance of the £50 as commission, while plaintiff held that no sale had eventuated, and he was entitled to the amount deposited.
