He spent his overseas service in England where he spent time in hospital with a hernia. He was discharged on 19 March 1918.
  • At the age of 22 years, Albert Edourd Pukallus married Minnie Konz, daughter of Frederick Konz and Bertha Mathilde Patzwald, in 1916 in Brisbane, Queensland. They were married before he disembarked for England on 23 September 1916. Minnie lived at Downing Street, Spring Hill while he was overseas. They had ten children.
  • Albert Edourd Pukallus again enlisted in the Australian Army on 16 March 1942 in Brisbane He was a signalsman for 1 Lines Communications Signals, his service number was Q15564 and was he living in Brisbane at the time he enlisted. He gave his place of birth as Toowoomba. His next of kin was his wife Minnie. He was discharged on 19 April 1895.
  • Albert Edourd Pukallus died in September 1964 in Brisbane, Queensland, at age 71.
  • Albert was buried on 5 September 1964 in Mt Gravatt Cemetery.
