• On 26 October 1890,Alfred Edser's mother, Emily Halloway died in Murphy's Creek, Queensland. She died from peritonitis caused by obstruction of the bowel.
• Alfred Edser was a witness when his brother Harry Edser applied for dissolution of his marriage to Ada Rose Haines in Oct 1908
  ; The marriage was not a success and on 20 October 1908, The Brisbane Courier reported:- " APPLICATION FOR DISSOLUTION
  OF MARRIAGE. Harry Edser, Crow's Nest farmer, applied for a dissolution of his marriage with Ada Rose Edser, nee Haines, on the grounds of adultery with James Creed, of Crow's Nest, bullock driver and Alfred Williams, of Crow's Nest, painter, who were joined as co-defendants. Mr McGregor (instructed by Messers Crouch and Darvall, town agents for Messrs. Eden and Groom, Toowoomba) appeared for the plaintiff, and there was no appearance of defendant or co-defendants. The petition set out that the parties were married on March 13, 1906, according to the rights of the Methodist Church and they lived together at Pinelands. Adultery was alleged to have taken place with Creed, and on other dates with Williams.
  His honour asked if there was any issue of marriage, and was informed there was a child, of which, however, plaintiff denied the paternity. His Honour held that this should appear in the petition. An adjournment was then granted in order the council might site authorities for amending the petition without re-service.
  Mr McGregor, on the court resuming, said he had not been able to find authority for amending without re-service, but, according to 36 L JMC 63 (1901) Challon v Challon, evidence could be taken at this stage.
  His Honour accordingly granted leave to amend the plaint and affidavit by stating the facts as to issue, and also for re-service, on the usual conditions. Evidence was then called.
  Plaintiff gave evidence in support of the petition. After living with his wife at Pinelands for about three months he had quarrelled with her mother and because he would not allow the mother to continue to reside with them his wife left him. A child was subsequently born of which the witness denied any paternity. Defendant afterwards went to reside at the home of her brother, George Haines. Witness then gave evidence as to what he had seen between defendant and the co-defendants.
  Ambrose Bearton, Alfred Edser, and E Jackson, clerks in the employ of Messrs Eden and Groom, solicitors, gave corroborative evidence.
  At this stage the case was adjourned to November 13."
  
• At the age of 26 years, 4 months and 29 days, Alfred Edser married Annie Rebecca Embery on 19 October 1910 in Queensland. At the time Alf was living on his father's property at Wutul, along with his brother Ted and his wife Hilda. Alf and Annie lived in the same house until Ted built a home on his own block of land.
  
• Alfred Edser and Annie Rebecca Embery appeared on the Electoral Roll in 1913 living at Nutgrove. Alfred was a farmer as was his brother Edwin.
  
• Alfred Edser and Annie Rebecca Embery appeared on the Electoral Roll between 1930 and 1943 living at Nutgrove. Alfred was a farmer and Annie carried out home duties.
  
• Alfred Edser was listed as the next of kin of Noel Henry Edser when she enlisted in the Australian Army on 15 August 1943 in Cooyar. He was living at Nutgrove at the time he enlisted and gave his next of kin as his father, Alfred. His service number was Q223014. He was discharged with the rank of Private in the 9th Battalion Volunteer Defence Corps.

Alfred Eric Edser

• Alfred Eric Edser was born on 11 January 1912 in Queensland.
• He was the son of Alfred Edser and Annie Rebecca Embery.
• At the age of 29 years, 1 month and 8 days, Alfred Eric Edser married Daphne Richter, daughter of George Richter and Caroline Ann Paton, on 19 February 1941 in Toowoomba.
• On 18 July 2005,his wife, Daphne Richter died in Toowoomba at age 85.
• Alfred Eric Edser died on 1 August 2012 at age 100.
• Alfred was buried on 6 August 2012 in Drayton & Toowoomba Cemetery.

Clarence Joseph Edser

• Clarence Joseph Edser was born on 29 June 1915 in Ipswich.
• He was the son of Alfred Edser and Annie Rebecca Embery.
• Clarence Joseph Edser died in 1917 in Oakey, Queensland.

Editha Edser

• Editha Edser was born in 1870 in Ealing, England.
• She was the daughter of Joseph (Joe) Edser and Emily Halloway.
• Editha Edser immigrated on 15 November 1873 to Moreton Bay with Joseph (Joe) Edser and Emily Halloway. Joseph, 29 and Emily 24, travelled on the Gauntlet which left London on 15 Aug 1873. With them were their children Lucy 5, Edith 3 and Emily 1 who died on the voyage. The passengers disembarked at Ipswich.
  
• At the age of 26 years, Editha Edser married William Launchbury on 2 May 1896 in Queensland. William was born in Bladon, Oxfordshire on 27 Mar 1867 - the son of James Launchbury and Ann. He died in 1954.

Edwin (Ted) Edser

• Edwin (Ted) Edser was born on 9 May 1883 in Murphy's Creek, Queensland. At the time of his birth his father was working as a fettler on the railway line.

• At the age of 25 years, 10 months and 14 days, Edwin (Ted) Edser married Hulda Salome Schaefer, daughter of Johann Christian Schaefer and Maria Christina Nerlich, on 23 March 1909 in Toowoomba, Queensland.
• Edwin (Ted) Edser and Hulda Salome Schaefer appeared on the Electoral Roll in 1913 living at Nutgrove. Edwin was a farmer.
