Their marriage notice appeard in The Brisbane Courier - "FERRIER-NEAL.-On the 16th February, at St Paul's Presbyterian Church, Leichhardt-street, by the Rev. J. F. M'Swaine, David Ferrier, of Rosevale, Surat, to Alice Mabel Neal, of Surat". They lived at "Bynog.", Surat. Alice and the girls settled in Crow's Nest sometime around 1940.
  
• David Ferrier died on 21 December 1917 in Newfarm, Brisbane, Queensland, at age 68.
